What does Nicol, Stanley and I have in common? the unfortunate experience of having Dengue fever... -.-
The sudden high fever and the splitting headache is excruciating. I had my longest night yesterday..everytime I closed my eyes I would feel my head splitting. Even when I fell asleep..I would wake up 20minutes later with my head hurting once again. I found it better to just sit on my chair...at least the headache does not feel so bad that way.
I saw the doc just yesterday. Actually I have not been officially diagnosed as having dengue yet because the doc only told me to come back on monday for the blood test. However, from all the corresponding characteristics I found on the internet, the blood test would simply be affirmation to compound my sufferings. Worse still, nothing on the web suggests any dengue treatment. Apparently it's untreatable, with symptoms lasting for a period of 2 to 7 days while complete recovery can take a month.
haiz...I am still suffering from the intense headache, but I thought I might as well do something since I can do nothing else but to wait for the symptoms to subside. From the WHO website, I will develop rashes by monday and if I am terribly unlucky I can have dengue haemorrige fever. That is when I bleed from my nose, gum...yah. you get the picture...
